  Virtual Private Network (VPN)- allows you to get your office files off of our network server from practically anywhere OFF CAMPUS.

1. Download Cisco VPN from UNC Campus Shareware site (FREE). You'll need your UNC ONYEN.

2. Set up VPN: Instructions from OIS

3. Download this file and save it to your desktop. Unzip it (with winzip of needed). Right click on this file (Connect_to_parker1.bat) and select "Edit." Change the 'username' to your parker1 login user name. Now save these changes.

4. After running VPN, you can simply double-click on the .bat file and enter your password to connect to parker1. The drive (p:) will then show up under Windows Explorer (shortcut = "start + E" at the same time).
